Bed Bath & Beyond Requires Customers to Wear Masks

2020 by Laurie Northington in Business Strategy, Industry
The measures will take effect beginning July 24, to allow the company time to communicate the change to customers, and train teams as they implement the new protocols as part of a comprehensive store safety plan. It will help ensure consistent safety standards for customers and employees in the approximately 1,500 stores across North America, including Bed Bath & Beyond, buybuy BABY, Christmas Tree Shops, Harmon Face Values and Cost Plus World Market.
In line with the latest guidance from the CDC and others, the company believes this simple step will help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, allowing Bed Bath & Beyond to further safeguard its teams and allow customers to continue to shop with confidence.
The company recognizes that some people cannot wear masks for health reasons, and its associate teams will be trained to support customers in these exceptional circumstances. In addition, the company will continue to provide a number of alternative options for customers to shop, including contactless Curbside Pickup or home delivery, through e-commerce platforms.
