Classic Brands Launches 5-day Turnkey Solution to Provide Retailers with E-Commerce Capabilities

As consumers shift to online shopping during the COVID-19 pandemic, specialty bedding supplier Classic Brands has unveiled a turnkey solution to provide brick and mortar retailers with an e-commerce solution within five days.

The company is offering a proven program that includes product, a supported e-commerce platform and drop-ship services to complete the experience.

“Consumers have shifted their buying habits to online during the lockdown and we believe as consumers return to retail stores as they open up, the buying process may be changed with a greater emphasis being placed on the e-commerce transaction,” said Mark Owen, executive vice president of sales and business development. “Classic Brands is here and ready to partner with retailers with our easy-to-implement program to capture consumers shopping online for mattresses. We can have them up and running in five days with images and copy for our products uploaded to their site and synced with our drop-ship system.”

“Being able to ship a mattress directly to a consumer’s door takes away the concern,” Owen added. “We have the expertise to help retailers who haven’t yet gotten into online shopping get up and running quickly. As we emerge from this, consumers will have become quite comfortable with buying online. Now’s the time to gear up for that shift.”

Owen said Classic Brands’ distribution centers on the West Coast and the East Coast are stocked with a wide range of boxed mattresses for drop-shipping. Both warehouses are equipped with “first-scan” technology that instantly generates a tracking number for UPS and FedEx shipments that let consumers know their order is on its way.

As one of the industry’s largest bed-in-box companies, UPS and FedEx have established stations onsite where employees scan shipments as they are loaded onto delivery trucks, eliminating the need for the shipping companies to scan and update tracking records later in the distribution process.
