Nourison Announces New Hires for Hospitality Division

Leading floor covering and home accents manufacturer Nourison has announced two recent appointments to their growing hospitality division.

Geri Cymbalsky has joined the company as Director of Hospitality Brand & Product Development, reporting to Jonny Peykar, VP Hospitality. In this newly created position, Cymbalsky will have responsibility for directing Nourison’s vast manufacturing and sourcing capabilities toward new hospitality-dedicated product introductions in both broadloom and rugs. She will have additional responsibility for overseeing brand standards program development with major lodging brands.

“Geri is someone we have had the pleasure of knowing and worked closely with for many years,” said Peykar. “Prior to joining us, she was the Senior Manager of Contracting & Product Development at Marriott International for almost 14 years. In her role there, Geri was responsible for overseeing and facilitating brand specifications and brand standards programs in floor covering and accessories. Most recently Cymbalsky worked on case goods development for the Moxy and Westin brands as well. She is extremely knowledgeable about product specifications, pricing, brand narratives and the competitive floor covering landscape,” reported Peykar.

Westley Owens has also joined the hospitality division in the role of Senior Designer. In her role Owens will develop designs in support of Nourison’s valued hospitality clients. She will also be responsible for developing new design collections, together with her colleagues, to add to the company’s large design archive.

“Westley is a highly accomplished senior designer in our industry,” said Peykar. “She has a most impressive portfolio of work and we are thrilled to have her aboard.”

Prior to joining Nourison Hospitality, Owens had worked within carpet and rug design industry for 18 years, residing in both North America and Europe.  She has also been a designer and buyer in the furniture, lighting, mirrors and accessories business and was the Principal of her own custom furniture design and floor cloth business. Owens’ design works have been represented in galleries in Atlanta, New Orleans, New York, and Mobile. They have also been exhibited in the New Orleans Museum of and highlighted in Food & Wine Magazine. Additional design works have been featured as an “Editor’s Craving” in Domino Magazine.
