Ekornes Unveils New Stressless Recliners

Norwegian manufacturer Ekornes, Inc. has announced the launch of Stressless Sam and Scott, the company’s next generation of innovative recliners.

“Stressless Sam and Scott are truly recliners designed for the future,” says Peter Bjerregaard, President. “Personal relaxation has hit an all-time high with these luxurious and beautiful new recliners.”

The new recliners come standard with all the features of a Stressless but are equipped with superior technical mechanisms and motorized functionality. Motorized for precise choreographed movement, both chairs come with three in-built motors. The controls adjust easily to synchronize movements to support the back, legs and head.

“Stressless Sam and Scott are designed for ultimate comfort,” says Bjerregaard. “The ergonomically designed curved seat and back frame incorporate Flexo springs and is shaped for support while layers of quality foam and fibers provide extra comfort. The experience parallels the feeling of zero gravity in the reclining angle as the chair distributes body weight evenly. The fully integrated leg rest offers comfort for even the tallest people with all leg lengths and the armrest height is perfect for reading or using your laptop.”

The Stressless Plus system provides comfort and support for the lower back and head in all positions. The lumbar support automatically adjusts as it reclines, filling in the gaps so you sink deeper into the chair. A compact remote control is concealed under the armrest to provide easy adjustment for the tilt of the seat, backrest and footrest with the additional luxury options of heating and massage.

Stressless Sam is available with optional wood side panels for a clean, Scandinavian look and feel. Both models can be customized by the consumer with choices of any Stressless leather and base colors.

Both recliners come with a 10-year warranty on the internal mechanism, a 5-year warranty on electrical parts, motor, heating and massage and a 2-year warranty on the battery. Retail prices start at $4,000. Both products will be shown in July in Las Vegas.
