Pet Sofa Sales Hold Steady as Coronavirus Drives Online Home Décor Purchases

James by Jimmy DeLaurentis, a private label collection of luxurious upholstery, pet beds and candles has seen a steady purchase pattern of pet sofas during the COVID-19 Pandemic, a sign that consumers are not only looking to pamper their homes, but also their pets.

Veteran interior design specialist, Jimmy DeLaurentis says that while sales of his furniture line which is sold through high-end retailers across the U.S. and through his interior design  practice has softened as a result of temporary retail closures across the country, he has been very optimistic about the continued sales of his pet beds that range in retail price from $1,000 to $1,850 through the company’s e-commerce enabled website.

“As much of the country has shifted to working from home, learning from home and teaching from home, many consumers are focused more than ever on their living spaces. When they look around the room, they are not only saying it is time for an upgrade themselves, but they need something for their pets,” he said. “Our line of premium pet beds are constructed with the same top-quality materials as our ‘human’ furniture, which is quite unique in the market. While some parts of the business have been affected by the economic downturn, interestingly we are not seeing that trend in our pet products business. Bench-made by skilled artisans in our factory in Los Angeles, the luxury pet sofas offer our customers a personalized, hand-crafted piece that they can consider an investment for their homes and their pets, serving as an alternative to promotional-style items that are widely available at department stores."

The customizable pet bed collection, which can be purchased online through the company’s e-commerce-enabled website, www.jimmydelaurentis.com, includes a variety of high-style pet sofas that blend seamlessly with the company’s furniture line, providing consumers a way to create continuity in their design aesthetic. The collection is offered in a variety of fabrics ranging from faux leather to velvet, all of which are Greenguard Gold Certified as environmentally friendly and pet-safe.  Each of the four pet sofa styles are available in four sizes toy, small, medium and large.

Pet sofa styles include the Danielle, which offers the perfect place for a furry princess to relax with a classic design that blends in seamlessly with existing home décor; the sleek and comfortable Bruno, which features a contemporary design that allows your pet to have a sofa that's just as grand as your own home décor; the Filomena, with clean lines that are complemented by contrasting piping and button pulls for the perfect combination of style and comfort; and the Capri, which offers a unique shape that combines with tufted details to add class to the interior of any home.

A Philadelphia native and design trailblazer with more than 25 years of experience, Jimmy DeLaurentis is known for creating luxurious and memorable spaces through his unique design aesthetic that combines opulence with a touch of playfulness.
