Ekornes Launches Smoother Movement Stressless Dining Chairs

Norwegian manufacturer Ekornes is launching a new dining chair program that refines the unique combination of Norwegian craftsmanship, modern aesthetics and exceptional comfort that Stressless is known for. With wider seats, armrest options, new designs and a smoother and gentler gliding mechanism the new Stressless dining chairs define the ultimate in dining luxury.
“We are excited about the new generation of Stressless dining,” says Peter Bjerregaard, president. “The flexible seat and back follows and responds to the movements of your body in a unique way, offering a variety of positions for total comfort.”
The unique dining chair responds to the body’s movements, automatically adjusting the seat and back position, without levers or handles. Lean forward, and the chair moves to reduce the pressure under legs while supporting the back. Lean back and enjoy the feeling as the chair back reclines and the seat slides forward, giving a more open and comfortable sitting position.
“The real benefit to Stressless dining chairs is that the increased comfort enables you to maximize your quality time with friends and family around the table,” says Bjerregaard.
The dining chairs are offered in 4 styles, low back, high back, with arms, without arms and two different seat leg options. Color options include oak/natural, white washed oak, walnut and black.
The chairs will be shown in July in Las Vegas.
