Ekornes Launches Contest to Support Frontline Heroes

Furniture manufacturer Ekornes, Inc. has announced the launch of its new consumer contest called Chairish the Frontline Workers, giving consumers the chance to honor and recognize the ones working on the frontline for their selflessness and full dedication to helping others during the Covid-19 crisis. The contest runs through May 8.
For two weeks consumers can nominate family or friends to win one of two Stressless recliners. The contest is being promoted online through Stressless social media sites – Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and is open to any consumer in the U.S. or Canada. No purchase is required.
“We are pleased to be able to recognize the hard-working men and women who are keeping us safe and well these days,” says Peter Bjerregaard, president. “Providing them with Stressless comfort after a long day is just one way we are excited to be able to give back.”
The company is also giving back with the production of personal protection equipment (PPE) at both Norway facilities and the Ekornes assembly plant in Morganton, N.C.
“We are producing over 1200 masks per day now in N.C.,” says Bjerregaard. “In Norway our sewing department is making thousands of masks and gowns per day for Norwegian healthcare facilities.
