Temple Furniture | Parker Southern Name Woody Elder as New Sales Director

Family-owned Temple Furniture | Parker Southern has named Woody Elder as its new director of sales. Elder has been in the upholstered furniture industry for 35+ years.
“I began in an upholstery plant at fourteen and throughout high school and college I did everything from sweeping, building custom frames, sewing, trimming, loading trucks, building cushions and eventually helping with sales. In 1998, I hit the road full time in sales covering three states. For the last seven years I have been wearing a couple of different hats at another eight-way hand-tied line, one of which was sales manager. Picking fabrics and helping to develop new product were also hats I wore,” said Elder.
Elder spent most of his career at Jetton and the last seven years of his experience at Masterfield Furniture.
“I’m looking forward to using these experiences to help the amazing staff here at Temple Furniture | Parker Southern,” added Elder.
