Dallas Market Center Announces Temporary Closure Amid Shelter-In-Place Order

Dallas Market Center has announced that Dallas County issued a “shelter –in-place” order for residents of Dallas County, which also includes an order for non-essential businesses to cease operations through April 3, 2020. The announcement directly impacts Dallas Market Center.

Effective Tuesday, March 24 Dallas Market Center temporarily closed their doors until the order is no longer in effect, which is currently listed as Friday, April 3.

In a media announcement, Cindy Morris, president and CEO of the Dallas Market Center said, “Even while temporarily closed we believe in continuing our mission of connecting buyers with available products. We will pick back up with our daily business, design events, and upcoming markets shortly.”

Morris added, “In the midst of this public health crisis we are learning a lot about each other and what values we demonstrate to our customers and our community. Health and safety are the highest among them but we also have gratitude—for the first responders and medical staff but also for the businesses that continue to serve their neighbors.”

Morris says many exhibitors have alerted them regarding available stock ready-to-ship, and that information has been posted on the front page of the Dallas Market Center website.
