Spring Air Expands Partnership with Egypt Licensee

Expanding its reach into the Europe, Spring Air International has announced the growth of its partnership with long-time Egyptian licensee Bed Janssen to include Germany, Morocco and Hungary.

Founded in 1955, the Cairo-based company has been a Spring Air licensee since 2009 and has been manufacturing and distributing the brand in Egypt, Belgium, France, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Bed Janssen manufacturers mattresses, textiles, bedding and sleep accessories.

“Our 11-year partnership with Bed Janssen has helped solidify our brand leadership in key countries, and we’re excited to broaden our reach into a region that is prime for growth,” said Nick Bates, president of Spring Air International. “Expanding into Germany, Morocco and Hungary with a trusted partner like Bed Janssen allows us to fill in the map with these key countries. This expansion is the latest sign of the success our licensees are having with the Spring Air brand both domestically and internationally.”

Pleasant Mattress, Johnson City Bedding and Pennsylvania Bedding have all expanded their territories with Spring Air in the last 18 months. Pleasant added 11 states to its portfolio, while Johnson City Bedding and Pennsylvania Bedding recently added Ohio to their regions. The two companies are splitting the state.

Bed Janssen holds rights to produce and distribute all Spring Air brands, including Back Supporter, Chattam & Wells and Nature’s Rest, throughout the eight countries. The Spring Air products will be produced in Janssen’s 430,500-square-foot factory in Cairo.

“We value our strategic relationship with Spring Air and welcome the opportunity to grow our business. The European market has been very receptive to the Spring Air brand and we wanted to expand our geography to new customers who have wanted the product,” said Mohamed Mostafa, chief executive officer of Bed Janssen.
