IMC’s SOURCE Event Offers Design CEUs

“We greatly value the American design societies and are proud to work with them to continue to develop the talents of our local design community,” said Dorothy Belshaw, IMC chief marketing and digital officer. “SOURCE is a resource for education, networking and discovery, and this program allows us to further support designers as they grow their practices.”
The six SOURCE educational sessions are offered in select showrooms at multiple times throughout the day so designers can attend the programs that best meet their needs. Additionally, attendees will have networking opportunities during a complimentary lunch and happy hours at the conclusion of the programming. As an added benefit, designers can source and shop from some of AmericasMart’s 400+ Open Year Round showrooms.

Inclusive design is a win-win for customers and businesses. It helps the business take on a social responsibility. This CEU will also cover the two new codes that will be implemented into International Building Code and International Plumbing code.
The Sitting Experience

This course will help designers to specify seating and chairs to better help clients choose the best sitting experience possible for their employees.

Today’s LED technology opens up possibilities for lighting design that were inconceivable just a few years ago. This course describes the features and benefits of current LED technology, how understanding the light spectrum and color metrics leads to better lighting design, and how to specify a custom LED illumination plan that meets design needs for residential, hospitality and commercial interior projects.
