Symbol Promotes Jannke to VP of Manufacturing and Product Development

Richmond, Va.-based bedding producer Symbol Mattress has announced the promotion of Mark Jannke to vice president of manufacturing/product development.
With 25 years’ service to Symbol, Jannke will now oversee Symbol’s six manufacturing facilities located throughout the U.S. This is in addition to his current responsibilities as vice president of product development. He reports to company president Mike McQuiston.
“There’s no one more qualified than Mark to lead these two key areas that are critically interconnected. His ability to take product from concept through the finished goods and have intimate understanding of all the details along the way make him a rare and valuable asset,” said McQuiston.
Prior to this promotion, Jannke has served as vice president of product development for the past six years. Before that, he was plant manager for Symbol in Watertown, Wisc., for 19 years. He started is 36-year bedding career at Sealy.
