HP Market Announces Keynote Lineup for Spring Market

The High Point Market Authority has announced its Keynote Series lineup for Spring Market, April 25-29, 2020. This season’s educational series features multiple industry experts and influencers, including global style icon and entrepreneur Miranda Kerr.

All sessions will take place at 3:00 p.m. on their scheduled day in the High Point Theatre located in the main Transportation Terminal, with doors opening 30 minutes prior to each session.

The first Keynote Series session on Saturday, April 25, will be presented in a TEDx-style format featuring two mini sessions during the 60-minute timeframe. Presented in partnership with Business of Home (BOH), this program will welcome guests with a series of presentations and conversations ahead of the 2020 Future of Home conference.

BOH columnist Warren Shoulberg will present ten things the industry needs to know about home retailing at the start of the roaring 20’s. Afterwards, BOH editor in chief Kaitlin Petersen will chat with Modsy's style director Alessandra Wood and vice president of merchandising Shelly Gardner about the future of commerce and how platforms and interior design services are evolving.

Sunday’s Keynote will feature global style icon, international supermodel and entrepreneur, Miranda Kerr. Best known for her celebrated career in fashion appearing on magazine covers all over the world, Kerr will discuss how she turned her passion for organic skincare into a business and transitioned from the runway to the boardroom as a successful businesswoman, entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of Kora Organics. Kerr will also discuss what drove her to enter the home space with Universal Furniture and launch Miranda Kerr Home, which debuted at Market in the fall of 2019.

“This Keynote Series lineup explores different facets of an evolving industry, with the goal of really keying in on the business opportunities currently available and yet to come,” commented Tom Conley, president and CEO of the High Point Market Authority. “These speakers will be sharing vital information that can directly benefit our buyer audience at market.”
