Hooker Furniture Expands High Point Showroom Space to InterHall

Hooker Furniture (NASDAQ: HOFT) has announced it will open a second show space in High Point for the Spring Market, a specially curated spot in InterHall.

The new exhibit space, located on the first floor of the International Home Furnishings Center (IHFC), marks the first time the company has exhibited its product line outside of its 90,000 square-foot showroom located at C-1058 in IHFC.

The InterHall space – located at IH301 – will feature an assortment of high-style accent and custom upholstery pieces that will resonate with the interior design community and highlight the company’s vast product line of on-trend case goods, modern leather seating and custom fabric upholstery.

“InterHall is the perfect location to expose our design-oriented products to an expanded audience of boutique retail buyers and interior designers who may not regularly visit our flagship showroom on the tenth floor,” said Alexandra O’Hare, vice president of merchandising for Hooker Furniture. “Our product line has begun to include a contemporary – even modern – aesthetic over recent years and to that end, this space provides us another vehicle to reach an even broader audience and encourage them to visit our larger location to learn more about our company and our comprehensive product lines.”

“Ultimately, we want designers to know that they are welcome at Hooker Furniture,” she continued. “As a leading furniture resource, our broad assortment, combined with our domestic warehouse program and the customization opportunities available through our domestically-produced upholstery brands, position us as a one-stop resource with the added benefit of no minimum order requirements.”

Products showcased in the InterHall space will include Hooker case goods, Hooker upholstery, the Mélange collection, and MARQ, a line of upscale, customizable modern upholstery, upholstered beds, mattresses and adjustable bed bases. Domestic upholstery resources Sam Moore and Bradington-Young will also be represented.

“The Mélange collection – an eclectic assortment of one-of-a-kind artistic accent pieces –is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2020,” said Johne Albanese, vice president of corporate marketing and interior design for Hooker Furniture. “We have several initiatives planned to recognize the success of the collection this year, and this new InterHall space is the perfect way to kick off this incredible milestone.”
