Walker Furniture Teams with Vegas Golden Knights for 2nd Bed For Kids Event

This year 18 recipients were selected to receive new beds and their families were invited to a private two-hour skate party with Golden Knights personnel including Chance and cheerleaders and other Walker Furniture community partners.

Community partners Clark County Fire Department (CCFD), Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), Communities In Schools (CIS), and Las Vegas Rescue Mission (LVRM) helped identify children in the community who needed a bed, which Walker Furniture will deliver to their homes this week.

For the skate party, everyone had an opportunity to skate for an hour with VGK cast members on ice assisting and even offering cones for new skaters to use for balance.

In the middle of the rink Walker Furniture displayed a sleigh bed.

After skating, guests gathered in a private room for a lunch provided by Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers and a Shake Shack dessert. VGK’s mascot Chance showed up for photo ops. Participants also received goody bags.
