AICO Recognizes Top Sales Reps

Casegoods and upholstery resource Amini Innovations Corp. (AICO) has recognized its top producing sales representatives during the annual Sales Award banquet held in Las Vegas last month, presenting Van Smith the “Sales Professional of the Year 2019,” Jay Lorenzo the “President’s Club” award, and Jake Salman the “Spirit of Professionalism” award.

Smith has been with AICO managing the South Texas region for over 8 years. This is the second time Smith has received the Sales Professional of the Year award; the first being in 2016. Aside from the engraved crystal trophy awarded, Van received a brilliant gold diamond ring recognizing his achievement.

“Van’s very positive relationship with his customers, combined with his drive and commitment have been key to our growth in the region,” said Michael Amini. “He is a consummate professional, and we are very proud to have him represent the brand.”

Lorenzo, who took over the Central and Northern region of Florida as a full-time AICO representative three years ago, was presented the President’s Club award for outstanding sales performance from AICO President Martin Ploy. 

“Success is not just measured by the volume of sales achieved, but in facilitating growth even in the toughest times,” said Ploy. “Jay quickly developed a rapport with the previously established dealer base and continues to forge new relationships with his great energy and impeccable work ethic.”

The Spirit of Professionalism award is given annually to the sales professional who most exemplifies professionalism in the day in and day out management of their accounts.  Salman was named the 2019 honoree for his management of AICO’s Middle East accounts.

“A true professional possesses integrity, inner drive, and focus along with genuine care for their customers, and Jake embodies these characteristics, which have helped him earn the respect and trust of his colleagues and customers,” said David Koehler, VP of Sales.
