Tim O’Hare Joins Hooker Casegoods as SVP of Merchandising & Design

Hooker Furniture (NASDAQ: HOFT) has hired Tim O’Hare as SVP of Merchandising & Design for Hooker Casegoods.

In the position, O’Hare will lead the casegoods merchandising team and help shape the creative direction for the future.

O’ Hare joins Hooker from Caracole, where he worked the last three years as SVP of Creative Merchandising. “Tim brings to our company a wealth of product design and development experience,” said Jeremy Hoff, president of Hooker Legacy Brands. “His outstanding eye for product will help us expand our product line and style assortment to appeal to a broader range of consumers and geographic areas.”

A graduate of Kendall College of Art and Design, O’Hare’s background also includes over 20 years at H. Thomas Keller & Associates, where he was a senior partner. Other companies where he has experience include Marty Pratt Designs of High Point, Windsor White Studios of Chicago and Broyhill Furniture Inds. in Lenoir, N.C.

“In his 35 years in the industry, Tim has garnered the respect of his clients, peers and customers alike,” Hoff said. “His experience and reputation make him the perfect fit to lead our casegoods merchandising team.”
