The March buying event at AmericasMart Atlanta will be refreshed in 2020 with a new name – Spring Mini Market – and updated programming complementing the opportunity for retailers and designers to source from 1,000+ gift and home decor showrooms plus a curated collection of 50+ temporaries at its March 4-6, 2020 staging.
“The update of the March market in Atlanta better reflects its unique identity in the IMC tradeshow calendar,” said Bob Maricich, IMC CEO. “New tours and a new programming format make the market accessible and actionable for both new and loyal buyers. The new name differentiates it from our major Winter and Summer markets and better reflects its positioning as a more intimate buying event with access to trend-driven product and business-building education and events.”
The name Spring Mini Market refers to the March mid-season buying event at AmericasMart. It replaces the Atlanta Spring Gift, Home Furnishings & Holiday Market.
All 1,000+ AmericasMart gift and home décor showrooms will be open for the Spring Mini Market. Some 75+ new, expanded and relocated showrooms that opened during the Winter will make their Spring market debuts.
AmericasMart’s 700+ gift showrooms will show a range of gift and specialty categories including Seasonal / Gift and Outdoor Living brands that will be working with buyers to complete orders before key buying deadlines.
The permanent Seasonal/ Gift collection will serve buyers who are completing Holiday 2020 buying before key manufacturers’ deadlines. Highlights of these 150+ showrooms include four newcomers – Balsam Hill, Inner Beauty/Bent Brush Art, Seasonal Abode and SuperMoss – which debuted earlier this this year, plus five expanded and relocated showrooms – Flora Bunda, Floral Treasure, Holiday Bright Lights, Raz Imports and Santa’s Own.
Buyers looking for summer season immediates can also shop the Outdoor Living collection, which features more than 120 casual furniture, outdoor living and garden gift exhibitors. Updates for 2020 include two new showrooms – Great Western Hardwood & Design and Yoder’s Outdoor Living – and three expanded and relocated showrooms – Blue Orange Pottery, Entryways and Garden Iron & More.
The 300+ home décor showrooms open for the market include both AmericasMart’s Open Year Round home décor collection and market-only showrooms. March highlights include the opening of a new exhibit space for Sherwin-Williams (commercial and residential paint) and updated showrooms for industry leaders including Antique Curiosities, Caracole, Elk Lighting, Forty West Designs, Inc., Go Home, Jeffan International, Leftbank Art and Mainly Baskets.
Spring Mini Market programming presents opportunities for buyers to gain business knowledge and learn more about the products showcased at AmericasMart. Daily “Brunch and Learns” on a variety of business and trend topics will be followed by curated market tours lead by the speakers. Daily happy hours encourage buyers to network and make connections with other retailers and designers. Full details about the speakers and tours will be available at a later date.
