El Dorado’s Jesús Capó Re-elected as President of HFA

Fla.-based El Dorado Furniture has announced its chief information officer, Jesús René Capó, has been re-elected for 2020 as the president of the Home Furnishings Association (HFA) after serving at that post during 2019.

"I am grateful for this rare and extraordinary opportunity to serve for an additional year - and I plan to build on the HFA's successes of 2019," said Capó.

Throughout the previous year, some of HFA’s accomplishments under Capó's tenure include the addition of 125 members to the association, 16 new program partnerships, a productive Washington, DC meeting with members of Congress, and the very successful Top 100 CEO Summit held in Pebble Beach, Calif.

For 2020, Capó's goals include the continued addition of new membership programs, implementation of a new healthcare program for its members in 10 states, and the development of a unique training program with the goal of educating and improving talent in the industry.

Jesús is the second Capó, and only the second Hispanic, to lead the HFA. The first was his brother Pedro Capó, who served as president in 2003.
