Our House Designs Acquired by Private Investment Group

Fine furniture manufacturer Our House Designs has announced that a private investment group has acquired the company. Parker Maricich will be the incoming president, leveraging his many years in the industry in sales and marketing, with roles at Robb & Stuckey, Century Furniture, Lexington Furniture, Gloster, and JLA Furniture.

Purchased in 2001 by industry veteran Carrie Craymer, Our House Designs has established itself as a trusted custom manufacturer of high-end leather motion and stationary furniture. The company provides specialty retail and custom design groups a wide selection of offerings in the recliner, sofa, sectional, and chair categories, all built in N.C. by skilled local artisans.

"This is an exciting opportunity for me and my investor group to take an established brand with a dedicated workforce and expand the product line to more fully address the design and custom market,” said Maricich. “I am energized to be working with experienced craftspeople who have demonstrated a passion for quality manufacturing. I am committed to developing sustainable and socially responsible products as we grow this company. I am also excited to join the next generation of young industry veterans taking a leadership role in the home furnishings industry."

Carrie Craymer will continue as an advisor and brand ambassador, using her many years of experience. She stated, "This transaction will expand the vision of Our House Designs, bringing new resources and opportunities for growth for the benefit of our employees and this community. I believe this transaction will make Our House Designs stronger and provide great opportunities for customers, employees, and suppliers. I am appreciative of all the support of each of these constituencies and look forward to continuing to be a part of the company."

The company will continue its presence at the High Point Furniture Market with its showroom at 402 N. Wrenn Street, High Point, N.C. 27260.
