Las Vegas Market Ready for Buyers and Suppliers

With new products, programs and more than 150 new, expanded and relocated showrooms and exhibitors, International Market Centers is ready for the Winter 2020 Las Vegas Market, Jan. 26 – Jan. 30.

“Las Vegas Market is the West Coast’s one-stop-shopping destination for all things gift and home,” said Bob Maricich, chief executive officer of International Market Centers. “New and expanding resources from leading lines and exciting newcomers coupled with industry-exclusive event offerings make Las Vegas Market the ultimate platform for buyers and suppliers to do business this winter.”

IMC’s new Market Snapshot program, which showcases new, innovative and trendsetting products, will make its Las Vegas Market debut in January. In the weeks leading up to Market, 48 cross-category products have been selected as finalists for the “People’s Choice” awards and showcased at lasvegasmarket.com/marketsnapshot. Online voting for the People’s Choice awards is open on the webpage now, and winners will be announced on the opening day of Winter Market.

This winter, Las Vegas Market will present three brand-new Market-only experiences: the Mid Mod Mix Up Bus Tour, a Las Vegas local event showcasing West Coast design, architecture and lifestyle; Rock Stars in the Kitchen, a gourmet demonstration with Kelly Hanson, lead singer of Foreigner, and Mary Moore, founder and CEO of Cook’s Warehouse; and the Market Kick-Off Party, sponsored by IMC_di, IMC’s newly-announced B2B e-commerce division, and featuring performances by Cirque du Soleil, in the Grand Plaza Courtyard. After Market hours, attendees can enjoy complimentary entry to a Hakkasan nightclub and discounts up to 40 percent at a Cirque du Soleil show. Show tickets can be purchased at this special booking link: http://www.cirk.me/LVMkt.

Las Vegas Market also will feature a robust slate of educational seminars, industry events and networking receptions. Highlights include the 15th annual Las Vegas Market Design Icon Award, recognizing award-winning interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard; Oprah’s Favorite Finds – Live!; the Business of Design Conference Jan. 2020; and the “Learn and Earn” Buyer Breakfast Roundtables, in collaboration with various professional associations. Additionally, Winter Market will feature two proprietary trend programs: FIRST LOOK – 2020, with directional trend previews; and Best of the West, a designer-led panel discussion about West-Coast “Life and Style.” This winter also marks the launch of Steelyard’s Designer Lounge, located in Salon West on C5, which will host daily seminars and events. A listing of all Market events can be found at www.lasvegasmarket.com/seminars-and-events.

In furniture, more than 120,000 square feet of new, relocating, expanding and renewing furniture showrooms will be among the Las Vegas Market’s 2,000+ furniture lines presented in more than four million square feet and on 31 showroom floors, and nearly 200 temporary home furnishings exhibitors on B2 and C13. The most recent new, relocating and expanding exhibitors include: Emerald Home Furnishings (accessories, bedroom, dining, occasional, sleep); Global Home (furniture); MotoSleep (mattress, bedding); Steve Silver Company (casual dining, occasional tables and home office); and Sunset West USA (outdoor furnishings).

Within home décor, more than 95,000 square feet of new, relocating, expanding and renewing showrooms are set to open, adding to Las Vegas Market’s 500+ home décor resources on 13 showroom floors in Buildings A, B and C, and in The Pavilions at Las Vegas Market. The latest relocation and expansion is Mitchell Black (wallpaper, home décor and gift).

In gift, Las Vegas Market will showcase more than 2,170 resources in permanent showrooms and temporary exhibits throughout campus, including 48,000+ square foot of new, expanded and renewed showrooms confirmed in Building C. The newest company debuting at Winter Market is Canpol Ltd. (glassware, candles, wedding accessories and home decor).

More than 120 new and returning exhibitors will be among the 450+ temporary gift and home resources showcased in the Pavilions at Las Vegas Market. This winter, the Pavilions will feature five core destinations: GIFT, HANDMADE, DESIGN (DESIGN LIFESTYLE, DESIGN HOME), HOME and DISCOVERIES: The Antique Vintage Marketplace in one dynamic and easy-to-navigate floorplan.

Winter 2020 Market also will be the final staging of the temporaries in the Pavilions at Las Vegas Market. Starting at Summer 2020 Las Vegas Market, the gift and home temporary exhibits will be located in The Expo at World Market Center Las Vegas, a 315,000-square-foot exposition center that is adjacent to Building C. The facility will be divisible into two halls – North and South halls – which can accommodate up to 1,000 booths.

The Market’s digital platform offers buyers, designers and Market attendees a way to make preparation easier and more efficient. With the Las Vegas Market website and app, Marketgoers can use the Exhibitor Directory to search by company name or by keywords to explore a robust catalog that includes more than 500 exhibitors and 1.39 million SKUs.

Las Vegas Market hosts a number of buyer amenities, including campus and hotel shuttles, fully-equipped internet lounges, buyers’ lounges and convenient café and food kiosks. Due to ongoing construction of The Expo Center at World Market Center, campus will look a little different this January. To help understand these changes, Las Vegas Market has created an online guide detailing campus transit, registration changes, facility changes and parking tips available at https://www.lasvegasmarket.com/about/campus-update.
