On Christmas Day. 2019, Fox Business digital news featured a piece on high end holiday home decorating and the lengths affluent homeowners had been known to go when decorating for the season. The online editorial included images and client insight from two designers including author and interior designer, Shayla Copas. The article, entitled, “Celebrity Homes Decorated For The Holidays Can Cost More Than $ 100K,” highlighted the manner, preferences as well as cost high end clientele go to when dressing their homes for entertaining during the holidays.
Copas, who is the author of “Four Seasons of Entertaining,” provided personal expertise to the Fox Business editorial team in the areas of holiday décor planning, coloration, ornamentation, and glamour. Images within the article featured personal photos from Copas’ home exhibiting her expertise, style preferences and creativity.
“Investing in festive, over-the-top holiday décor is an homage to the nostalgic feeling of being a kid again at Christmas – and some of the most expensive winter scenes can cost upward of $100,000 for retail and labor costs, Copas said. "Dramatically draped mantles give off that feeling of warmth, especially when there's a fire going," Copas continued.
The digital article, which received hundreds of shares and a 65% SEO rating, was well received nationally.
In April 2020, the designer will highlight her product design skills with the launch of her latest collaboration with Chelsea House during the High Point Market. A collection of lighting, home décor, and accent furniture, will be introduced in the Chelsea House showroom at 200 Hamilton Street, High Point, NC.
