Las Vegas Market Partners with 50+ Industry Associations, Buying Groups

The Oriental Rug Importers Association is a national trade association formed in 1958 to develop ethical business practices and promote the best interests of the Oriental Rug Trade in the U.S. and in countries that produce oriental rugs. ORIA membership includes more than 65 leading U.S.-based importers, wholesalers and manufacturers of area rugs and oriental carpets whose products sell at retail in all of the 50 states. During Market, ORIA will hold its annual breakfast meeting.
The National Alliance of Floral Associations brings together leaders of the American botanical industry to learn, network, and better service their florist members through programs, training and benefits. This winter, NAFA will hold its board meeting at Las Vegas Market.

In addition to partnership with new associations, Las Vegas Market will introduce a first-time cooperation with Giftbeat magazine to host an at-Market networking reception for its reporting stores. In addition to this members-only event, publisher Erica Kirkland will present Turning 2020 Trends into Year-Round Profits with veteran retailers Christie Manry of Elam’s Hallmark (San Diego, Calif.) and Deborah Breither of Elly’s Gifts (Emerald Isle, N.C.) from 2 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28.
For the first time at Winter Market, Business of Design is holding its Business of Design Conference | Jan 2020, a two-day conference providing interior designers, decorators, stagers, architects and stylists with a blueprint for a successful design practice. The conference will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, and Sunday, Jan. 26. Additionally, Kevin Htain, member of the International Association of Home Staging Professionals (IAHSP) board of directors and IDENTITY HOME staging+design, will present How Home Staging and Interior Design Businesses can be Blended from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28. During the session, Htain will discuss the similarities and differences between home staging services and interior design, how the goals and business operations differ, and how to receive more information to establish a successful staging business.
