RH Unveils Newest Location, RH Columbus

RH (NYSE: RH) has announced the opening of RH Columbus, The Gallery at Easton Town Center in Columbus, Ohio. The new location was designed to represent the brand’s quest to revolutionize physical retailing, and its continued foray into hospitality with a glass-encased Rooftop Restaurant, and Wine & Barista Bar.

Commanding three levels and 60,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, the company’s newest location features artistic installations of luxury home furnishings in a gallery setting, including full floors of RH Interiors, Modern and Outdoor. RH Columbus also includes an in-house Interior Design Firm & Atelier.

“RH Columbus reflects our vision to create architecturally inspiring spaces that blur the lines between residential and retail, indoors and outdoors, home and hospitality –spaces that activate all of the senses and create an immersive experience that cannot be replicated online,” said Gary Friedman, chairman and CEO.

Conceptualized as a transparent, multi-level contemporary structure filled with fresh air and natural light, the Gallery features a charcoal grey exterior with an expanse of glass-and-steel French doors that open onto garden courtyards and terraces marked by a progression of grandly scaled boxwood topiaries and pleached elm trees.

The Rooftop Restaurant  is at the top of a double floating staircase and offers an ingredient-driven menu in a year-round, skylit garden escape beneath an atrium with retractable glass walls, sparkling crystal chandeliers and trellised London plane trees. Extending from indoors to out, the restaurant opens onto a landscaped park. Influenced by classical gardens of Europe, yet contemporary in spirit, the destination features a series of intimate lounge spaces defined by a layered composition of sculptural evergreens, the sound of trickling fountains and select RH Outdoor collections.

On level three, the Wine & Barista Bar serves craft espresso, fresh-baked pastries, and artisanal wines to enjoy in the Rooftop Park or while exploring the rest of the gallery.

RH Modern, described by the company as the largest curated and fully integrated assortment of modern furnishings, lighting, textiles and décor under one brand in the world – as well as the RH Interior Design Firm & Atelier – is on level two.  This interactive studio features private client presentation rooms with state-of-the-art technology, and an RH Rugs showroom.

Guests will pass through a 25-foot threshold of glass and steel on level one, and continue into the central hall with its soaring 14-foot ceilings. Along the periphery, barrel-vaulted passageways lead to a classical arrangement of rooms featuring RH Interiors  collections from internationally renowned designers, as well as rare antiques and artifacts from Friedman’s world travels.
