James Booth Joins Corsicana as COO

Corsicana Mattress has hired James Booth, leading operations and logistics leader from the consumer goods sector as its chief operating officer.

Booth joins the company from VF Corp., where he oversaw similar functions for leading brands that included The North Face, Timberland and Vans.  

Prior to his time with VF, Booth served in leading operational posts with Newell Rubbermaid, Ford Motor Co. and Springs Window Fashions. He also worked with Heritage Home Group as its vice president of supply chain and general manager of the company’s operations in Mexico and was vice president of global quality and research and development for Chamberlain Group, the parent company of leading power garage door brands.

As COO, Booth will oversee and execute the company’s upgrade to its facilities, all day-to-day operations for Corsicana’s factories, drive internal strategies and manage the company’s production needs. Working out of Corsicana’s Dallas headquarters, Booth will travel to the company’s network of factories regularly. He reports to Michael Thompson, chief executive officer of Corsicana Mattress.

A graduate of the University of Victoria, Booth received his Master of Science degree from Kettering University, where he majored in manufacturing operations, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Detroit.

Booth is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, which he received during his 10 years with Ford Motor Co. He lives in Mooresville, North Carolina, with his family.
