Aico Employees Team Up for Walk for Hope

Casegoods and upholstery resource Aico has announced the participation of its “Aico All Stars” team in the annual Walk for Hope on the campus of City of Hope in Duarte, Calif. to fight against women’s cancers. At this year’s event, there were 12,000 people participating, raising over 1.5 million dollars combined.

Comprised of over 70 people, the Aico All Star team consisted of Aico employees, including Michael Amini and his family, as well as friends and colleagues from other companies and was one of the top fundraising teams this year.

Team captain and Aico President, Martin Ploy stated “I am very proud of our team and their dedication to raising money for this wonderful and important event. This year we’ve been able to contribute over $55,000. We are proud of our ongoing commitment to support City of Hope in their fight against women’s cancers, and hope we inspire others to join the fight, as well.”

City of Hope is leading the battle against cancers unique to women through research, treatment and education. The Walk for Hope event provides funds to support City of Hope’s efforts to push the boundaries of science to advance research and treatments on behalf of women everywhere.

“We’ve been very fortunate to have the support of many of our dealers and other industry friends in our fundraising efforts,” added Ploy. “The tremendous support from Michael Amini and the extended AICO family have made the AICO All-Stars one of the most consistent and best fundraising teams.”
