H Contract, a supplier of contract-grade upholstered seating and case goods will expand into the hospitality sector as the company makes its debut at the Boutique Design New York (BDNY) trade fair, Nov. 10 – 11 at the Jacob. K. Javits Center in New York.
H Contract has long been a leading supplier to the senior living industry. The company’s broad product line of design-oriented accent pieces and domestically produced made-to-order upholstered seating options will now be able to provide the hotel segment with on-trend looks with the durability of contract-grade materials.
“Attended by over 8,000 interior designers, architects, purchasing agents and developers, BDNY presents a tremendous opportunity to introduce our style-driven product line to the hospitality market while also re-connecting with our senior living design clients,” said Dean Jarrett, vice president and general manager of H Contract. “We’ve observed some crossover from hospitality into the senior living segment in the past with great success and believe we should be addressing both segments with our product development efforts.
“This show in particular, with its focus on luxury and boutique hotel interior designs, offers us an avenue to display our comprehensive product line and demonstrate our ability to bring contract-grade accent pieces and custom-order upholstered seating options with superior style to this growing segment of the industry,” he continued.
A diverse assortment of case goods and upholstery items will be on display in the H Contract booth, including a mix of lounge seating, accent chairs, dining chairs, and unique accent items.
Headlining the case good furniture lineup is Esperanza, a two-door chest that features an abstract blue and gold pattern on the door fronts and the Like a Feather Cabinet that is characterized by an oversized brass-tone feather motif centrally positioned against two high sheen black lacquer doors. Six spot tables in various shapes and sizes offer versatility for a variety of entertaining, social and lobby areas.
Key pieces in the upholstery lineup are the Izzy Chair, which appears to float in mid-air from the back with its open arm design. Sitting on round tapered legs, the inside back features streamlined button details for a sophisticated look. Other key upholstery items are the stylish Ambroise Club Chair and the Kato Chair. Combining style with comfort, Ambroise features an industrial edge with its streamlined metal base and folded arm style, while Kato features a modernized wing back silhouette with slender, splayed arms and tall, tapered wooden legs.
The products will be on display at the H Contract booth, which is on level three, space 1651 in the Javits Center.
