Bobby Berk for A.R.T. Furniture is available at three Nebraska Furniture Mart locations in Omaha, Kansas City, and Dallas-Fort Worth.
“My new furniture collection with A.R.T. was really inspired by a desire to give people attainable luxury,” said Berk, best known for providing design expertise on Netflix’s Queer Eye. “I wanted to create a line that felt super-expensive and super-luxe, but wasn’t just for the 1 percent, it was for everyone.”
Berk will host three Q&A sessions open to the public at NFM stores next month for customers to connect with the designer, learn the inspiration behind this new collection and get insider tips on design for their homes:
- Friday, Nov. 1 from 6-7 p.m. at the Omaha store
- Saturday, Nov. 2 from 3-4 p.m. at the Kansas City store
- Sunday, Nov. 3 from 2-3 p.m. at the Dallas/Fort Worth store
The debut line features classic Mid-Century shapes with a touch of Parisian and Art Deco flair in tones of graphite, cognac, olive and cream with brass accents. It includes functional features such as USB charging plugs hidden inside sofas and nightstands, and a platform bed with storage drawers and reading lights. Standouts include an emerald velvet sectional sofa, eyelet caned back barstools and a credenza with a striking geometric front. “I wanted to create a line where every single piece in the collection would go together, no matter how you mix and match it,” Berk said.
Nebraska Furniture Mart is one of only seven retailers in 2019 to introduce the 53-piece line, which includes items for the bedroom, living room and dining room.
