Abbyson Sets Events Schedule for Fall High Point Market

Casegoods and upholstery resource Abbyson will be hosting Fall High Point Market attendees in the company’s new state-of-the-art building with a full lineup of events, including the debut of its exclusive “iTable Mini.”

All events will be held inside Abbyson’s flagship showroom located at 300 E. Green Drive, at the corner of Green and Hamilton.

“Abbyson’s new showroom building has brought an influx of positive energy to the city of High Point, with multiple headlining events to kick off Market and finish strong,” said Yavar Rafieha, Abbyson’s president. “This fall market is no exception, and we’re excited to continue the momentum with even more exciting experiences.”

The festivities will kick off Market with leading technology firm Ivy hosting its 2nd Ivy Academy on Friday, Oct. 18, in the Abbyson Design Center. The private event will show Ivy users how to effectively use the program to manage their business. A team of experts will be onsite to work closely with participants and help them learn best practices.

On Saturday, Oct. 19, Abbyson will partner with Houzz to host “The Smart Home Is Here: How Do We Make It Invisible?” Liza Hausman, VP of marketing for Houzz, will share the latest on smart home consumer demands alongside Sallie Kjos of Greyhunt Interiors, Susan Wintersteen of Savvy Interiors, and Mikel Welch of Mikel Welch Design. This panel of industry experts will dive into the latest on smart home statistics, challenges, and the logistics of simply making it invisible. Attendees will enjoy Abby Wine, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres.

On Sunday, Oct. 20, Abbyson will host “Marketing & Media: The Next Chapter.” In this panel, leading design influencers will discuss different avenues of marketing and branding a design business, plus how to evolve those practices in each chapter of your career. This star-studded panel includes Shayla Copas of Shayla Copas Interiors; Jenny Slingerland of Black Ink Interiors; Rajni Alex of Rajni Alex Design; Jeremy Bauer and Jason Clifton of Bauer Clifton Interiors; and moderator Justin Shaulis. Following the panel, Copas will host an exclusive signing for her book, “Four Seasons of Entertaining.” Wine, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

On Monday, Oct. 21, Abbyson will host Deb Barrett and Jackie Von Tobel of Soft Design Lab for their VIP tour, #HPMKT Experience. This exclusive group event will have a private reception and a VIP tour of the Abbyson Showroom and Design Center while enjoying Abby Wine and light bites. Abbyson and Soft Design Lab have partnered together on multiple occasions to host VIP Market events, which have led to successful designer experiences.
