Mill Collective Relocates to Red Egg House, Introduces New Talent

Mill Collective, a curated exhibition and platform for product designers and artisan-makers focused on modern design is relocating to the first floor of the newly dubbed Red Egg House, located at 415 W. High Ave., in High Point, featuring new and returning exhibitors, Oct. 14-23, with several dates overlapping the High Point Market, which runs Oct. 19-23.
Relocating from its previous venue at Plant Seven, the sixth edition of Mill Collective showcases “Designed & Made in America” works by 20 studios, in a new gallery format.
Concurrently, the Red Egg showroom has relocated to the historic building’s second floor for the October Market. The design trade-friendly collection will additionally debut new designs in natural rattan.
“The collaboration with Red Egg House delivers a unique design experience to High Point Market attendees,” says Tim Branscome, Mill Collective CEO, who collaborated with Red Egg owner and operator Carol Gregg to bring the innovative display format to life.
“Interior designers and architects want to work with artisans for custom projects,” adds Branscome. “Individual works in the Mill Collective galleries exemplify the style and quality offered by the makers, and a special curated vignette serves as inspiration to this audience.”
The galleries showcase a range of products, including artisanally crafted solid wood furniture, glass lighting fixtures and accessories, handcrafted billiard and game tables, original artworks, textiles and ceramics.
Exhibitors new to Mill Collective and to High Point Market include 9 & 19, Chase Ryan, Daniel Ricky Furniture, David Bohnhoff, Designed with Purpose, Ellis Table Company, Jill Seale Design Studio, Jomo, Stillwater Woodworks, Venture Games, Wigu Studios.
Each exhibitor at Red Egg House has customization capabilities, to work in tandem with interior designers, architects, boutique retailers and project specifiers.
“As the home furnishings industry continually evolves, we’re keeping the tradition of custom furniture-making alive,” says Gregg, a fixture at High Point Market for over 20 years, who also manufacturers custom items from her collection in High Point.
“Teaming up with Mill Collective to bring new ideas to the Market, while supporting the people who are passionate about interior design, is a natural progression,” she adds.
Red Egg House is accessible via the High Point Market Red Line shuttle, stop 29.
Hospitality includes "Drinks on the Porch," Fri. to Mon., Oct. 18-21, from 5 to 7 p.m.
A “Meet the Maker” event on Sat., Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., includes Adam Davis, who will demonstrate the traditional craft of weaving, applied to modern furniture.
