Taylor King, Woodbridge to Launch ‘Easy Living’ Lauren Liess Collections

Custom upholstery producer Taylor King and Woodbridge have partnered with Lauren Liess, Author, Designer and HGTV Host, to create several collections set to launch at the High Point Fall Market. Inspired by nature, easy living, and approachability, the new collections will be on display in both the Taylor King, Suite 304, and Woodbridge, Suite 301, showrooms on the third floor of the 200 Steele building from Oct. 18-23, 2019.

The Lauren Liess Collection launch marks the first designer collaboration for Taylor King, and features a variety of pieces in the living room, dining, occasional and accent categories from both companies. Woodbridge also produces a Toby Fairley licensed designer collection.

“Lauren brings a design aesthetic to Taylor King and Woodbridge that is both cozy and casual. Yet, the product adds a level of sophistication with its fresh take on classic styling with traditional roots,” says Del Starnes, president of Taylor King. “Woodbridge and Taylor King are the perfect partners for this product launch with Lauren and David Liess as we all share the same passion for design, quality and comfort.”

“Lauren has a signature look that marries a rustic, casual vibe that resonates with today’s consumer. She effortlessly combines organic materials with sophisticated palettes that evoke an inviting look that is both stylish and comfortable. Not an easy task, but she pulls it off. We love the collaboration that we have had thus far with Lauren and David and couldn’t be happier with the symbiotic relationship with the team at Taylor King. We look forward to introducing you to her new collection with Woodbridge,” says Watts Humphrey, president of Woodbridge Furniture.

Lauren describes her design approach as relaxed and natural, “I love a collected mix of old and new in a look that’s down to earth. It’s about things being imperfect yet beautiful, comfortable and laid-back, and timeless, not trendy.”

Lauren, along with her husband and business partner David, own an interior design firm and textiles company in Great Falls, VA, just outside of Washington, D.C. Lauren and David’s HGTV show, Best House on the Block may be viewed on HGTV On Demand, and on the HGTV Streaming App. Pure Style Home, Lauren’s interior design blog, launched in 2008. She published her first book Habitat: The Field Guide to Decorating in 2015. Lauren’s new book, Down to Earth: Laid-back Interiors for Modern Living will be released in October 2019.

On Saturday, Oct. 19 at 10:00 a.m. in the Woodbridge showroom Suite 301, Lauren will join Tobi Fairley in a “Coffee with Creatives” talk about what it looks like to build a brand from grass roots to a product collection launch. Lauren will sign copies of her book after this program and again in the Taylor King showroom Suite 304 on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 4:30 p.m. A cocktail party in both showrooms follows from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.
