As part of a rebranding for its evening concert series, High Point Market is offering two unique nights of entertainment at Fall Market, Oct. 19 – 23, 2019. Presented by Crate and Barrel and CB2, the new programming will offer a festive, upbeat atmosphere, complimentary food and drinks, live musical acts as well as networking opportunities.
Dubbed Eats and Beats, this new experience invites Market guests to relax and unwind in a low-key, intimate setting on both Saturday and Sunday nights. Outdoor seating and fire pits will allow guests to socialize and rest their feet after a full day of showroom visits and events once the concerts begin at 7:00 p.m.
Starting at 5:00 p.m., Crate and Barrel’s Table at Crate and CB2’s Social Club will both open to Market guests, allowing them early access to the event venue for pre-show activities. Crate and Barrel’s lounge will feature craft cocktails and mocktails from the Table at Crate menu and a relaxing outdoor setting. CB2’s Social Club will delight guests with upbeat tunes from a DJ, giant outdoor games, a digital photo mosaic wall, and a $1,000 gift card sweepstakes giveaway.
On Saturday, Oct. 19, musical entertainment will be provided by the up-and-coming trio, the T Sisters. Flowing seamlessly through a stream of styles and moods that runs from roots to pop and sassy to sincere, the T Sisters captivate audiences with soaring harmonies, catchy melodies, and potent lyricism. With two albums, two EPs, and a tour of the Middle East and Africa as part of the State Department-sponsored American Musicians Abroad program already on their resume, these supremely talented young stars are ready to make their ascent in American music.
On Sunday, Oct. 20, Mandolin Orange will take Center Stage to entertain with their warm and intimate yet staggeringly powerful tunes. Formed in 2009 by singers and multi-instrumentalists Andrew Marlin and Emily Frantz, the group has produced five albums of Marlin’s original works of American roots music. Their last three albums have climbed up the US Rock, Heat, Folk, and Country charts, with their latest peaking at number one on US Heat and number two on US Folk.
Eats and Beats will take place in the lot between Showplace and the Transportation Terminal, located in the Commerce Concourse neighborhood. A current Fall Market pass and photo ID are required for entry. No one under the age of 15 will be admitted.
