Solid wood resource Durham Furniture will continue its year-long celebration in honor of its 120th anniversary with a “Breakfast in Bed” social at the upcoming Fall High Point Market. The event will take place in the Durham Furniture showroom located in IHFC, space G1082 on Oct. 19 from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
The event will also provide a first-look at the contemporary-styled Milestone Collection of bedroom and occasional items geared toward reaching the next generation of consumers and the interior design community. The 24-piece collection features contemporary styles layered with mixed materials in a selection of 15 bedroom items and nine occasional pieces, making it one of the largest collections the company has launched recently.
Market attendees can satisfy their cravings while browsing the collection with a biscuit and bacon bar that includes a variety of locally-made jams, an acai bowl and juice bar and a Bloody Mary and mimosa bar with a variety of creative garnishes. Each menu item is custom-made with the same meticulous attention to detail that Durham Furniture puts into every piece of its solid wood furniture.
In addition to the creative breakfast menu, the event will include a champagne toast at 10:30 a.m., a custom selfie station and the opportunity to enter the company’s High Point Market social media contest for a chance to win a custom Open Console Cabinet in a choice of more than 50 finishes.
“There’s no better way to kick-off High Point Market than with an exciting event to celebrate our 120th anniversary and all that the Durham Furniture team has accomplished over the years,” said Luke Simpson, president and CEO. “It’s the perfect opportunity to bring together our retailers, industry partners and sales team to recognize a major milestone in our company’s history and all of whom have been a part of its tremendous success.”
