Seven Relocated, Expanded and Renewed Showrooms Highlight Main Street Properties

Seven relocated, expanded and renewed tenants will greet High Point Market buyers next month at the International Market Center’s Main Street Properties, which include Furniture Plaza, Plaza Suites and National Furniture Mart.

“These buildings are centrally located on Main Street in downtown High Point and are key destinations for home furnishings buyers at High Point Market with product designs for every room and every home style,” said Scott Eckman, president of furniture and home décor leasing for International Market Centers.

Three tenants are expanding showrooms within these buildings for Fall Market. Napa Furniture Designs (bedroom, dining and occasional) is expanding its existing space in Furniture Plaza. Kuka Home (upholstered home furnishings) and Vintage Furniture (bedroom, dining, entertainment, home office, occasional, and more) are expanding and relocating to Furniture Plaza from other properties in High Point.

Relocating exhibitor KUKA Home is a China-based supplier of sofas, beds, mattress and chairs. Their new showroom will feature 140 settings of stationary and motion upholstery, dedicated spaces for accent chairs and dining chairs, several meeting rooms, a merchandising room, and an expanded café for lunches and entertaining.

“High Point Market is a critical part of our long-term growth strategy,” said Steven Lush, president of Kuka Home. “We are a global company with a very large and diverse dealer base, and High Point Market is the one place where we can all meet twice a year to showcase new product, get ideas for future markets, and network and develop relationships.”

In addition to these relocations and expansions, four showrooms are renewing in these properties, including AW Manufacturing/Sleepwell (bedding) in Furniture Plaza; Catnapper Furniture (reclining furniture) in Plaza Suites; Man Wah/Cheers Sofa (motion sofas and chairs) in Furniture Plaza; and Western International in National Furniture Mart.

These relocating, expanding and renewing exhibitors join a list of notable lines across the three properties that include: Canadel (dining furniture); Freeline Home (upholstery); Fusion Furniture(stationary sofas, loveseats, chairs and accent chairs); La-Z-Boy (living room and family room furniture); Motosleep (power bed base); Powell (youth, occasional, dining and accent furniture) and Southern Motion (upholstered motion furniture).

Beyond exhibits and showroom events, the Main Street Properties are home to the HFA Retailer Resource Center, which will host an assortment of seminars and events throughout High Point Market.
