OMI Expands OEM Program

Organic mattress producer OMI has announced the expansion of its OEM program, following the successful partnership with Nest Bedding.
OMI manufactures Nest’s exclusive certified organic mattress and certified organic bedding, available at Nest Bedding showroom locations across the country, and online at nestbedding.com. The company has also worked with a number of other retailers and manufacturers looking to expand their offerings into the organic space, or to enter the organic bedding space, which remains a fast-growing segment year over year.
“We know the organic mattress business better than anyone in the marketplace. The convergence of luxury pricing with organic products has been a game changer in the industry making organic the differentiator for many consumers,” said Jeff Bader, CEO of OMI. “Few manufacturers have the expertise, or the manufacturing facilities and certifications required to produce certified-organic products. We do, and we’ve seen an uptick in companies turning to us to fulfill their needs.”
As one of only a select few U.S. factories with the capabilities to manufacture certified-organic mattresses and bedding, OMI boasts the mattress expertise that many factories don’t have – an inherent knowledge of the organic products segment and mattress manufacturing, with more than 15 years experience.
Designed with the same quality all-natural, certified-organic materials OMI uses in its branded product selection, the company collaborates with each company to develop house brands to capture consumers shopping for organic. According to the Organic Trade Association, sales of organic products grew 7.4 percent last year and consumer preference for organic is expected to continue its growth trajectory.
“Retailers are missing out on key sales with this consumer group that regularly purchases luxury-priced organic goods that are safe and healthful, and that don’t compromise on quality and comfort,” Bader said. “We now offer an OEM solution that gives them the ability to sell a luxury, organic lineup as their store brand. Organic products offer less price sensitivity and net a higher margin for retailers.
