Raffel Systems, a producer of electronic components for motion upholstery and bedding, has introduced new technology that replaces traditional massage chair rollers with air-filled bladders that can be customized to individual needs.
“We are excited to again be leading the industry in air massage technology.” said Rich Weeden, newly appointed president of Raffel Systems. “Raffel Systems pioneered air massage in 2010 with the patented ‘BackCycler’ and is pleased to be improving upon the function and comfort features.”
The company’s new air massage system boasts four air bladder zones, including one for the all-important lumbar area. The new air massage system’s lumbar support can be inflated to just the right level of support. Additionally, the massage can be customized using massage modes including pulse, wave, and alternating zones, enhanced by heat that can be fully controlled by a hand-held remote. The remote also operates recline, lumbar, and headrest functions. The new technology can be implemented in any new furniture products and can accommodate a variety of actuators.
“Relaxation is good for your health,” added Weeden. “Better relaxation means better health. It’s that simple.”
