Spring Air Expands Nature’s Rest National Footprint

Mattress supplier Spring Air International will roll out its Nature’s Rest brand to all 10 of its domestic licensees, giving the all-latex, premium bedding line a national footprint. The five-model, all-latex mattress line will be showcased at the Summer Las Vegas Market.
Prior to its upcoming rollout, Nature’s Rest was being manufactured by only three of the company’s licensees as its own brand.
“Nature’s Rest has been one of our legacy brands for a very long time but limited to only three factories. As the consumer appetite for natural latex and luxury mattresses continues to grow, we saw an opportunity with our broader licensee community to offer this nationally,” said Nick Bates, president of Spring Air International.
Collaborating with its nine-member product development committee made up of representatives from the company’s licensees, Nature’s Rest will be redesigned to offer exceptional quality. While specifications haven’t been finalized, Bates said each model will be an all-natural latex product that will not have innersprings.
The latex brand gives Spring Air factories and retailers a different product offering that attracts a consumer who craves a natural sleep experience.
Nature’s Rest has been manufactured as a standalone brand by E&E Bedding, a company owned by Spring Air CEO Ed Bates that had been Spring Air’s licensee in the Northeast until late last year; Spring Air North Carolina; and Spring Air Michigan.
Founded in the late 1990s, Nature’s Rest was acquired by Ed Bates in 2009 at the same time he acquired the rights to the Spring Air brand. The collection will be shown during the market in the Spring Air showroom located at B-1126 in the World Market Center.
