Mattress manufacturer Mlily USA has announced the launch of a luxury hybrid mattress called Ego at the upcoming Las Vegas Market.
The new roll-pack mattress, which retails for about $3,999 in queen, is set for full production to begin at the new factory by the end of the year. It will also be the first mattress to be produced at the company’s South Carolina factory.
Ego features seven unique zones, which are created with pocket springs to support the shoulders, hips, back, feet and head, and are designed to accommodate sleepers of all sizes, regardless of whether they sleep on their side, back or stomach.
“We have long believed that there is far more bandwidth in the roll-pack platform to construct more feature rich and luxurious mattresses. Ego takes us down that runway in a very exciting way,” said James Ni, chairman and chief executive officer of Healthcare Co. Ltd., the parent company of Mlily USA. “Our customers are looking to us to design and deliver a broader range of product so they can reach customers at every price point.”
The 12-inch profile Ego features bamboo charcoal memory foam to regulate moisture, odor and temperature for a cooler, more comfortable sleep. The mattress also features Mlily’s AirCell foam to help facilitate air flow throughout the mattress. The seven-zone pocketed spring system is crafted with a proprietary spindle shape that helps minimize partner disturbance.
Covered in a double jacquard white fabric that offers instant cooling when touched, Ego’s border is a contemporary, contrasting black accented by an orange welt.
“This is an important milestone in the expansion of our business in the U.S. Ego will be produced at our new factory, initially using components from our factories in Serbia and Thailand. This initial U.S. product represents the ultimate in luxury for roll-packed bedding and is a breakthrough design for us because of the unprecedented use of seven support zones,” said Stephen Chen, president of Mlily USA.
The 650,000-square-foot factory in South Carolina should be completed by the end of the year, when full production – including a foam pouring operation – is scheduled to begin. Currently, other products for the U.S. market are being produced in Serbia and Thailand. The company’s 6 million square-foot factory in Jiangsu, China, is focusing on production for the European and Asian markets.
The new Ego mattress, along with the full Mlily USA line, will be on display in the company’s Las Vegas showroom, B-912.
