Symbol Debuts U.S.-made Trade Winds Collection at LV Market

Richmond-based top bedding producer Symbol will debut its Trade Winds collection at the upcoming Las Vegas Market, offering retailers a tariff-free, U.S.-made alternative at aggressive price points.

Trade Winds is an all-foam mattress collection that retails from $399 to $799, domestically designed and manufactured with quality specialty foams and fabrics. Company officials say this introduction gives retail partners the opportunity to replace their imported products with American-made quality along with value-driven features such as copper gel foam at velocity price points.

The addition of Trade Winds expands Symbol’s “Get More” marketing campaign that has helped fuel unprecedented growth and evolved from a consumer proposition to a core pillar of the company, said President Mike McQuiston.

“We are experiencing exponential growth across our core business, specialty sleep categories and roll-pack business. It is exciting to know we are having a meaningful impact on our retailers’ and e-tailers’ bottom line without sacrificing quality or importing finished product,” added McQuiston.

To underscore its “Get More” mantra, Symbol will also expand some features at the entry and luxury price points. The luxurious Centerpiece line that debuted in January will now feature a zoned Quantum coil system and Live Smart fabric treatment. The Contour Edge construction, an inverted seam design featured in multiple collections, continues to be a top seller and will be expanded into new velocity price points that feature specialty foams, fabrics and construction.

“These micro collections are designed to fill any price gap on the retail floor with a truly innovative design that resonates with female consumers and is packed with value-added benefits,” said Nicole Slinger, vice president of specialty sleep products.

The Symbol Mattress showroom is located in C-1529 of the World Market Center.
