Atlanta Attachment Company Introduces 4 New Sewing Machines

Atlanta Attachment Company, a supplier of sewing equipment for home furnishings manufacturers, has announced its four new state-of-the-art sewing machines that improve operator efficiency and reduce labor costs.
The new equipment allows upholstered furniture manufacturers to boost quality control by combining several production steps onto a single machine. The machines also include cutting-edge electronic controls that store processes such as needle patterns, stitch length and needle thread tension, which can significantly boost efficiency and ease of operation.
The company, a division of HSM, will unveil the machines at the Home Furnishings Manufacturing Solutions Expo, which takes place July 17-18 at the Metro Convention Center in Hickory, N.C. The Atlanta Attachment booth also will feature the U.S. debut of a workstation for sewing seat covers that was introduced in May at the Interzum trade fair in Cologne, Germany.
“Our latest innovations will help our furniture manufacturing customers become more efficient and more accurate with each aspect of the sewing process,” said Hank Little, president of Atlanta Attachment. “It’s no secret that the industry is facing a critical labor shortage, and our equipment can help ease that problem by combining different production steps onto a single machine, while greatly reducing the chances of operator error.”
Making their debut at the Expo are:
- A single- and double-needle flatbed lockstitch compound feed machine that features an electronic control that makes all machine settings programmable, including the stitch length and needle thread tension.
- A computerized ultrasonic welding machine that also is programmable and delivers precise and constant amplitude values for consistent output.
- A double-needle flatbed ornamental sewing machine that can store up to 100 double-needle and 100 single-needle patterns.
- An automatic throw pillow sewer that performs multiple pillow construction operations.
Key features of the border boxing workstation making its U.S. debut include a dual puller system that allows the first puller to be synchronized with the sewing head and a second puller variable allowing for the finished cording not to be pulled, an ergonomically sound foot pedal that allows for precise speed control, a sliding folder assembly and adjustable feed components that streamline the process for threading the sewing head.
The units will be on display in HSM’s booth at the Home Furnishings Manufacturing Solutions Expo, in space 1315.
