Shifman Awards Top Selling Retail Partners

Luxury mattress manufacturer Shifman Mattress recently honored three retail partners for top sales performance in the past year.
Hendrixson’s Furniture, with two locations in Pennsylvania, earned the Platinum Award, while Frederick Duckloe & Bros. also in Pennsylvania garnered the Gold Award, and Pierce Furniture of Maine won the Silver Award.
“The strength of our dealers is integral to the Shifman brand and business, and it is my privilege to recognize their hard work and growth and to communicate how much their partnership is valued,” said Shifman president Bill Hammer.
Hendrixson’s has been a Shifman partner since 1995. Founded by Paula and Virginia Hendrixson in 1965, the small family business expanded over the years to two locations – one in Bucks County, the other in Lehigh Valley, Pa. They are joined in the business by their son, Jonathan, daughter, Lauren Ford, and her husband Damian Ford.
“With Shifman Mattresses, Hendrixson’s provides a tremendous value to the consumer,” said Damian Ford. “With a two-sided mattress set made with natural materials that can be flipped, a Shifman set will continue to provide years of comfort. That fits right in with Hendrixson’s focus on providing best-in-class products and service.”
Located in Portland, Pa., Duckloe has been selling Shifman for more than 80 years. It began as a manufacturer of Windsor Chairs in 1859 and became a furniture retailer in 1937. Owner Frederick Duckloe, Jr. said what he loves most about Shifman is how their customers are so pleased with the comfort that the retailer receives a “tremendous number of referrals.”
Century-old Pierce Furniture in Scarborough, Maine, has partnered with Shifman for almost 30 years. Owner Larry Pierce said, “It is an honor to have won this award. We have had a long and loyal relationship with Shifman. In addition to making the best mattresses available in this country – and our customers agree – our Shifman representative provides us strong support and training, and she keeps us up to date with what’s going on in the bedding industry.”
