DMC to Launch Total Lifestyle Market in June 2020

Dallas Market Center has announced a transformation of its summer market experience into a Total Lifestyle Market, beginning June 2020.

To better serve the changing needs of retail, this annual, summer-only trade event will take place across all product categories.

Apparel & Accessories Market will join the other trade events during previously announced dates:

June 23-26, 2020: Apparel & Accessories Market

June 24-30, 2020: Total Home & Gift Market

June 24-27, 2020: Lightovation—Dallas International Lighting Show

June 24-30, 2020: KidsWorld

The global event will feature an extensive range of products from both legendary labels as well as emerging brands. Buyers from around the world will have the opportunity to review new products across all categories together at a single event and to gain insights into trends and new business from peers, partners, and experts.

The latest surveys, attendance data, and focus groups show that as retailers diversify their merchandise mix they want a Dallas market experience that presents new products across all categories.

“Retail is undergoing dramatic changes, and we are advancing the market experience in order to help our customers succeed through access to more new products, unique items, and trend intelligence,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center.

“By combining events into a Total Lifestyle Market we are creating a must-visit destination and an energetic show that will be greater than the sum of its parts,” added Morris. “Maximizing opportunities to deliver more buyers drives every strategic decision--including the redevelopment of the IHDC building, launching Dallas Design Week, hiring new executives, enhancing marketplace technology, debuting special exhibitions like Brand Assembly, and engaging new marketing programs.”

Construction is already underway on 250,000 square feet of adaptive tradeshow space on the 11th floor of the World Trade Center, which will host gift temporary exhibits during the June 2020 show. Existing tradeshow space on the 12th and 13th floor will continue to be utilized for apparel and accessories temporary exhibits.
