Bob’s Partners with Operation Homefront, Supports U.S. Military Families
Bob’s Discount Furniture has announced its new corporate partnership with Operation Homefront, a national nonprofit that serves America’s military families.
Through this partnership, Bob’s will support Homes on the Homefront, the Back to School Brigade, and other Operation Homefront programs designed to help build strong, stable, and secure military families.
The CEOs of both organizations kicked off the partnership at Bob’s Saugus store location on June 12. During this celebratory meeting, the Bob’s Outreach Program team presented a check in the amount of $18,000 towards Operation Homefront’s Back to School Brigade. The funds will be used to purchase and distribute much-needed school supplies to military children in the Northeast as they return to school for the 2019-2020 school year.
“We are absolutely thrilled to begin our partnership with Bob’s Discount Furniture as their very generous support allows us to provide a wide range of highly valued programs to help our military families who are struggling to make ends meet,” said Brig. Gen. (ret.) John I. Pray Jr., president and CEO of Operation Homefront. “I know Bob’s entire team shares our unwavering commitment to giving those who have done so much for all of us the opportunity to thrive in the communities – Our communities – they have worked so hard to protect.”
Mike Skirvin, CEO of Bob’s Discount Furniture, added, “Bob’s is excited to grow this partnership with Operation Homefront and look for ways to jointly support military families from coast to coast, whether it’s financial support for amazing programs like the Back to School Brigade, or furniture donations to military families moving into new homes.”
In addition to the program support, Bob’s has selected Operation Homefront as their Café Collections for a Cause recipient for the fourth quarter of 2019. Every customer donation made in Bob’s complimentary cafes from October through December will be matched by Bob’s Charitable Foundation and donated to Operation Homefront in early January 2020.
