Las Vegas Market Announces Seminars, Events for Summer Market

Las Vegas Market has announced a comprehensive lineup of programming for 2019 Summer Las Vegas Market, running July 28 – Aug. 1, offering buyers, designers and retailers opportunities to connect with peers, become educated on the latest industry trends and earn CEU credits.
Summer event highlights include the 2019 Las Vegas Market CEO Summit; the ninth annual “Up On the Roof” fundraiser benefiting Gift for Life; the fifth annual ANDYZ Design Awards; Gift + Stationery 40 Under 40 Awards; and the debut of “Lean In and Lift Up”. Notable among the market’s 20+ educational highlights are: the proprietary FIRST LOOK product and trends program; and home furnishings trend forecasting program Ahead of the Curve.
Summer Market trend programming includes Las Vegas Market’s proprietary FIRST LOOK product and trends program, which will highlight furniture, home décor and gift product introductions in curated displays located throughout campus, in an educational seminar and with two related showroom tours. Along with the best new-to-market products, FIRST LOOK curator and editor Julie Smith Vincenti will share both macro and micro trends and present “2020 Vision,” a 10-hue directional color palette. The seminar, which is tailored to the needs of today’s cross-category buyers, lifestyle stores and interior designers, will be held from 10 -11 a.m. on Monday, July 29; with the related showrooms tours on Monday (home) and Tuesday (gift).
Las Vegas Market’s Ahead of the Curve trend forecasting session returns on Monday, July 29, from 2:30 - 4 p.m. Designers Marie Flanigan, Britany Simon, Aimee Wertepny, and Denise Morrison will share their insights and opinions about the hottest new directions and designs in home furnishings.
Another exclusive trend presentation, “Best of the West in Life & Style,” features a panel of taste-making influencers and designers including Nicole Salceda, founder of Eye for Pretty; Stephanie Holdaway, owner of Gatehouse No. 1 Furniture & Interior Design; Erica Bryen, owner of Erica Bryen Design; Shay Geyer, owner and designer at IBB Design Fine Furnishings, and Hilde Leiaghat, designer and retailer of Pom Home. The panel will be held from 3 - 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 28.
Other trend-focused sessions include: Sherwin-Williams Colormix Forecast 2020 from noon -1 p.m. on Monday, July 29; Designing Spaces for Healthy Families from 1 - 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 28; the Staging Association Panel Discussion from 3 - 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30; and The 3D Design Workflow, from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31.
Networking receptions and industry award events will also be featured. Highlights include the debut of “Lean In and Lift Up,” a celebration of successful women and the mentors who believed in them, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., on Sunday, July 28.
Industry award events include the ninth annual “Up On the Roof” fundraiser benefiting Gift for Life from 6 - 8 p.m. on Monday, July 29; the 5th annual ANDYZ Design Awards from 2 - 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 28; and the 3rd annual Gift + Stationery 40 Under 40 Awards from 5 - 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 28.
Other special events include the return of a late-night Cash & Carry Shopping Event from 6 - 8 p.m. on Monday, July 29, in DISCOVERIES: The Antique Vintage Marketplace in Pavilion 1; the Malouf Foundation Forging Freedom Industry Event to help raise funds to protect children, from 4:45 - 5:45 p.m. on Monday, July 29; and the return of the Non-Profit Retail Networking Reception from 5 - 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 28.
Additionally, Las Vegas Market will present a high-powered educational conference for industry leaders including CEOs, owners, presidents and C-level sponsored attendees. The 2019 Las Vegas Market CEO Summit, which is designed to address and provide insight into the critical issues facing industry leaders today, will be from 7:45 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30. The event includes keynote presentations from four of the nation’s leading minds in global business, innovation and economics: Honorable Gary F. Locke, Dr. Evan A. Feigenbaum, Stephen Shapiro and Ben Stein. Breakfast, lunch and a cocktail reception will be included along with time to network with presenters, sponsors and attendees.
Las Vegas Market also will feature more than 20 educational sessions as well as product tours from some of the industry’s best and brightest.
