Luxury brand Christopher Guy has announced the opening of its flagship showroom in New York's Design District on May 21.
Christopher Guy Harrison, the brand's founder and chief designer, launched the 7,500 square foot, street-level showroom with a ribbon cutting ceremony. It was followed by an elegant champagne reception, attended by influencers and New York design icon, Fern Mallis.
The showroom was an ambitious project for the brand, and it is hoped that this new space will transform the future of luxury lifestyle retail spaces. One of the most talked-about pieces of the evening was the Cosmopolitan headboard (referred to by many people the "Game of Thrones" bed, which was created long before the HBO series began). It is hand-carved and extremely detailed, and takes months of work, which is why this design is only available by special order.
"It is a dream come true to see the CG brand on the street level of this prestigious New York Design Center," said Harrison. "The CG brand has seen many innovations over the years and this fabulous showplace reflects those achievements."
