LA’s Top Tastemakers Attend Maven’s of Design Launch

Leading LA-based interior design firm Mavens Of Design, has just released a ‘Maven of Design Profiles’ blog on its website www.mavensofdesign.com which features thought-leaders in architecture, interiors, fashion, and art from around the world in their own homes.

A launch reception gathering the industry's top tastemakers from Australia to California was held on May 2nd, at EP &LP Rooftop Bar to mark the occasion.

Each Maven Profile includes a virtual tour through the designer’s house as they give insight into their design choices. The online Profiles also incorporate e-commerce shoppable features so visitors to the site will be able to shop the look and order select items instantly from the same sources used by the designers.

Mavens of Design’s founder and creative director Lucy Loneragan said, “We are beyond excited to launch our new Mavens of Design Profiles. We offer a peek inside the lives of tastemakers of the Design industry; those who live at the cutting edge of emerging design trends, creativity and innovation. In addition to these breathtaking home tours, the fact that we can enable readers to purchase some of the items they see in the designer’s homes instantly to recreate the homeowner’s style nuances is really compelling. It sets us apart.”

The LA blog has already profiled Los Angeles based Interior Designer, Martyn Lawrence Bullard in his 1920’s Mediterranean Style Villa and Dinosaur Design’s Creative Directors Louise Olsen and Stephen Ormandy in their Sydney home. Other notable behind-the-gates Maven Profiles include the Bali residence of George Gorrow, the co-founder of Ksubi and partner of Ciroc Vodka, which he built together with his model and health coach wife, Cisco, with many more profiles in the pipeline.

“I see designer’s homes as the birthplace of new trends,” says Loneragan. “I think what we’re offering is unique in that we’re putting the spotlight on the designer’s themselves instead of their “work”. We show their unbridled creativity, an honest insight into how they live, and a glimpse into their sanctuary where they are testing new concepts and ideas before putting them out there into the world.”

In addition to the Maven Profiles, Mavens of Design is also launching a free bi-weekly newsletter, which gives exclusive tips on the latest design trends and how to create the most stylish of living spaces. It also includes user-friendly shoppable links.
