Ergomotion Rolls-out Wi-Fi Enabled Accessory for Voice Activation

Ergomotion has announced the launch of a Wi-Fi-enabled device that allows users to operate their adjustable-base with voice commands to Google Home and Amazon Alexa.

The device, which easily attaches underneath the adjustable base, works with nearly all Ergomotion bases and can be sold as an aftermarket product or in conjunction with an adjustable bed base purchase.

The device makes the convenience of voice activation available to early adopters of adjustable sleep, including those who purchased one of the nine adjustable bed bases that Ergomotion created prior to development of smart home technology.

“This product combines our industry-leading technology with smart home technology leaders Google and Amazon to give our users even more control over their sleep environment,” said Johnny Griggs, chief operating officer of Ergomotion. “Our top-selling Contour and Element lines already are compatible with smart homes, but this device makes that technology available throughout our line. As long as our device is connected to a home Wi-Fi network, it can be programmed to respond to simple voice commands that will move the base to the preferred sleeping position.”

With a retail price of approximately $79.99, Griggs said the device makes a great add-on sale for dealers and is also a way to encourage return visits to the store by consumers who already own an Ergomotion base.

With the purchase, consumers receive access to online video tutorials for installation and setup of the device. For participating dealers, the company has developed a library of point-of-purchase materials, including counter, floor, and light box display units.
