Bob’s Celebrates New Stores, Donates $35,000 to Area Schools

To commemorate seven store openings across the U.S. in the first quarter of 2019, Bob’s Discount Furniture has donated $35,000 to support 14 local elementary and high schools.

The seven stores opened in Fresno and Ontario, Calif.; Summerlin and Henderson, Nev.; North Dartmouth, Mass.; Grand Rapids, Mich.; and Bridgewater, N.J. School principals and representatives were presented with outreach donations at the ribbon cutting ceremonies for each new location.

“We are so excited to continue spreading Bob’s mission across the country and into every new market we enter,” said Mike Skirvin, CEO. “At Bob’s, we are committed to fostering relationships with and supporting communities where our stores are located throughout a variety of charitable giving efforts, including local outreach and furniture donations. As each store opens, we pride ourselves on offering quality furniture at an unbeatable value, while operating with the utmost honesty and integrity.”

Adding more than 20 new stores since February 2018, Bob’s now boasts 111 retail locations in 18 states throughout the East Coast, West Coast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest regions.

More stores are on the way. The company will continue its nationwide expansion throughout the remainder of 2019. At the end of May, Bob’s will open its first four stores in Detroit, accompanied by ribbon cutting ceremonies and weekend long celebrations for members of the community. Over Memorial Day weekend, Bob’s will also open in College Point, N.Y., Murrieta, Calif., and throughout San Diego county. By the end of the year, the company anticipates operating 122 store locations across the country.
