Former NCHFRA President Bob Hocum Dies
Furniture industry veteran, Robert “Bob” Hocum, passed away on February 2.
A long-time member of the North Central Home Furnishings Representatives Association (NCHFRA), a chapter of the International Home Furnishings Representatives Association (IHFRA), Hocum was NCHFRA president and on the IHFRA board of governors in 1994 and elected representative of the year for NCHFRA in 1996.
A visitation will be held May 9, from 4 – 7 p.m., at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria, Minn. A memorial service will be held on May 10 at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service at the First Lutheran Church in Alexandria.
“Bob’s career in the furniture industry was extremely important to him as well as his involvement in IHFRA. His wife Sheryl would love to hear any remembrances or stories our members have of him and his love of the industry. She says she remembers him talking about his golf outings and what a "duffer" he was, noting that his golf scores made for a high handicap,” said an IHFRA spokesperson.
