Uniters to Host City of Hope After Party

Uniters, a provider of industry leading furniture protection plans and products, has announced it is hosting the City of Hope After Party, following the awards presentations at the Spirit of Life Dinner. The event will be held in the Sheraton Hotel at Four Seasons in Greensboro, N.C. on April 7.

The City of Hope (COH) inspires vitality, optimism, and endurance every single day for its patients and families. Once a year the furniture industry gathers, in appreciation, to celebrate its accomplishments in research and honor special individuals who consistently support their efforts in medical development and patient prosperity.

The City of Hope Gala presentation and awards ceremony provides a glance into the world of research, treatments, and cures for cancer and diabetes on their campus in Duarte, Calif.  At the After Party, Uniters invites everyone to join them in celebrating the accomplishments of City of Hope and congratulate Larry Klaben, Surya Tiwari and Satya Tiwari, and Irv Blumkin and the Blumkin Family for their stellar support of this institution.

Guests are invited to toast and meet the COH Staff and the Home Furnishings Industry Board of Directors, along with the management team of Uniters, to celebrate the collaboration of partners within the home and furnishings industries.

“The City of Hope is saving lives and changing the landscape of healthcare and how they approach treatment and cure for these devastating diseases that have touched all of us, and we are honored to be able to contribute to their great work in a tangible way,” said Gordon Higgs, CEO of Uniters.

Two years ago, Jana Angel, brand ambassador for Uniters, was quickly drawn to the organization’s drive towards not only curing disease, but the avid promotion of wellness and their patients fight for life. Last year, Uniters teamed up with COH and launched the first Pink Out at the High Point Market in October. Members from all corners of the industry sported their pink in recognition of the brave fighters, survivors, and thrivers of breast cancer.

“During the 2018 Spirit of Life Dinner, I saw an entire ballroom of peers, many who are competitors, join together for an organization whose sole mission is improving and saving lives. Until cancer and diabetes are eradicated, COH has work to do and that means I do as well,” said Angel.
